The Castle Restaurant is the perfect venue for all types of event but with our stunning coastal views it is ideal for wedding receptions. As every couple is different chef/Patron Kit Davis and his experienced team will build the day around your needs and ensure everything is effortlessly executed in order for you to relax and enjoy the whole experience.
The following will give you an idea of the kind of things we offer. For example menus please email us or call us on 01288 350543. Please note that as we use local, seasonal ingredients we will not be able to finalise menus until closer to the actual date of the wedding.

Arrival Drinks: Champagne or Prosecco can be arranged for arrival. Alternatively jugs of Pimms or other cocktails are available. Prices vary for Champagne depending on budget; Prosecco is £19.50 per bottle, 5 to 6 glasses per bottle. Jugs of Pimms £17.50, 6 glasses per jug. Other cocktail prices available on request.
Canapés are £3.50 per head and consist of 5 differently topped crostini’s per person. These will be handed out throughout the room by the front of house staff. More substantial/hot canapés can be served if required.

Food Options: Sit down 3 course meal £25 per person. Guests will be required to pre-order their food to aid smooth service.
Sit down or standing buffets (including dessert) £10/£15/£20 per person.
Hog Roast held on our patio with salads, homemade bread, vegetarian options and dessert £19 per person. Please note this is only available for parties of 60 guests or more.
BBQ held on our patio with salads and dessert £17 per person.

Drinks Options: We have a varied wine and cocktail list and stock local soft drinks and beers. Our wine prices range from £14.50 per bottle upwards for both red and white. Although we do not have draught beer a temporary pump can be installed for an additional cost of £100 to enable draught to be served. All drinks needs can be catered for.

Optional Extras: As all couples needs are different each wedding may have additional requirements to the basic package. Some usual examples are listed below including their costs in order to help you budget.
Gallery Hire: The Willoughby Gallery stands adjacent to the Restaurant and can be hired out to provide extra space at a cost of £150. This is recommended for larger parties. The Gallery can hold up to 60 people seated and 100 standing.
Another smaller room is also available for hire, sometimes being used a playroom for children at an additional cost of £85.
The Restaurant itself can hold up to 30-35 seated and 50-60 standing.
We also have an outside area overlooking Summerleaze beach which can hold another 25 seated and 45 standing, obviously weather dependant. When taking over the entire restaurant the outside space is included automatically.
License: Our basic License allows the bar to remain open until 11pm. A later license can be applied for with advance notice to extend this to 1am. All guests will be required to vacate the building by 1.30am.
Music: The Gallery is large enough to accommodate a DJ or band if required. The restaurant holds a live music license so is able to host a small band or musician.
Decorations: We do not provide any decorations but you are welcome to dress any of the rooms however you wish as long as no permanent marks are left. We have a small flower display on our reception table but no other flowers are used in the restaurant. Again, you are welcome to bring whatever floral arrangements are required. Decorations can be left the day before the wedding and time to decorate is negotiable depending on arrival time.
Extras: Larger weddings (over 45 people) will incur extra costs when requiring us to cater outside our normal parameters. This includes things like the hire of extra plates, glasses, colour co-ordinating linen etc.

All weddings are different and we can be flexible to individuals couples needs. Please feel free to discuss any ideas you may have and we will do our best to accommodate them.
We can also provide refreshments for couples not holding their reception with us immediately after getting married in the Willoughby Gallery. Champagne and canapés, afternoon teas or simply having the bar open for your guests whilst photos are being taken is all possible with advance notice.
